Also a pair of blue aeropostale pants not pictured.

1 H&M jacket, 1 roxy jacket, and 1 express jacket.

1 Brown thermal top, 1 tank top, 1 Nike Workout Shirt.

1 grey Forever 21 cardigan, 1 Old Navy Cardigan, and 2 other cute cardigans.

15 shirts (3 Gap, 3 Banana Repulic, 5 Old Navy, etc.)

So one of my favorite things about living here in Oregon is the Awesome Thrifting I can do! They have here what we call "The Bins" which is Goodwill's outlet! I have only been three times, but I have become addicted...Its pretty much amazing! I wanted to give you guys an idea of what I have been able to find in just the three times I have gone!

This makes a total of 45 items (That I could remember) for 25 bucks! That makes everything 55 cents per item! :) LOVE IT!

Oregon also has a few other great thrift stores such as Thrift City, and the regular Goodwill...Garage sales are awesome here, and craigslist is good too! These places are much better than the ones in utah and a lot of other states! So what does this mean????

Come visit me!! We can go to the coast, Tillamook cheese factory, Thrifting, Farmers Markets, etc. It will be so much fun!!!

We bought a groupon a little while back to go to Seaside for a night stay/dinner. So we decided to go while eric is on break for school! We ended up getting there about 4 and got settled in...Then we took kinley swimming in the indoor pool, which she loved (after the initial chill of getting in). I wish I would have gotten pictures of that! Then we headed out to dinner at a local restauraunt. Which was delicious! Then we headed back to the hotel to put kinley to bed..(it took us a good hour) but once she was in bed we were able to relax and watch a movie! The next morning we drove up to Astoria to check out the sites, and stopped in Fort Stevens to see the shipwreck on the beach! It was a fun little family getaway!

Christmas Eve/Christmas Day!

We had such a fun Christmas this year! It was a little different not being by any family...but we have an awesome group of friends here that made it memorable...Along with our Kinley Bug! We got an invite Christmas eve to go eat with some friends..(Thanks Garlicks, we had a blast). Then we went home Opened our christmas pjs and read the christmas story. Then Eric and I got some hot cocoa and relaxed. Kinley was cutting her molars this weekend, so we haven't gotten much sleep...Plus, we have constantly been wiping her nose, and she had a slight fever on christmas eve! So it was a little bit of a challenge keeping her happy, but those presents on christmas sure did the trick! We looked at our stalking christmas morning then went to sacrament meeting. Then we came home to open presents. Kinley opened about two presents and then just wanted to play with those and not open anymore! So we helped her out a bit! That night we had some more friends over for a nice Ham dinner and Games! We had a blast, Thanks everyone for the wonderful christmas gifts and memories...We loved it!

Tired Bug!

Last night Kinley was a pretty tired little bug. We took her out of the bath and laid her on the bed to put lotion on. The next thing we knew she found her blankie and her pacifer and had cuddled up into a little ball completely naked! We let her lay there for a few minutes, and I don't think she would have budged if we didn't make her get her clothes on, which she was not happy about! She would have slept that way if we would have let her! She has been skipping out on her 2nd nap of the day, so It looks like we are going to have to scoot her first nap back a little and stop the 2nd naps all together :( sad day! I loved those naps! She is growing up too fast, making us laugh with new things she is learning everyday...We have quite the little character!

A few weeks ago Eric and I won tickets on the radio to go to the "Zoo Lights" in Portland. We got a family pack so we invited some friends and headed there to see all the fun lights. It was fun to watch kinley, she loved seeing everything and got really excited if we let her touch the lights! It was pretty chilly out, but definetely worth the trip!

Santa Claus Time!

We had our ward Christmas party tonight and therefore, Kinley got to meet Santa Claus. Santa didn't show up until about 8:15, so she was already grumpy (past her bedtime) and well she just thought he was a pretty scary guy! When I finally took her back she kept looking back at him and whimpering....at least she entertained everyone around her! Maybe next year she will like him :)

Kinley has been trying really hard to go down the stairs this week! I would sit about 4 stairs down and let her try over and over again....She had some pretty good tumbles, but she was bound and determined so I let her keep trying...Now she is doing much better, and is finally starting to get the hang of it! She is such a cheeser too, she loves to play at the top of the stairs and give us this big grins! Love this girl!

Christmas Lights Parade

Every year the city of Forest Grove put on a lights parade down mainstreet. It was a lot of fun to see kinley looking at all the lights and people as they walked by. She wasn't as enthusiastic about it as I thought she would have been (I think because it was really cold). But she sat there quiet as could be in awe of everything :)! It was a good sized parade too, that lasted about a half hour! We love living in this fun little town!!!

Since we aren't going home for christmas this year :( We decided it was about time for us to get our very first Christmas Tree! We ended up going to this little tree farm in Banks that had a good deal on trees. We got to go and search for the perfect tree and then have them cut it down for us! It was pretty cold outside, but Kinley still had fun! She loves touching the needles...and now that we have lights on the tree her new favorite thing is to touch or unplug them. I don't dare put presents out yet!

Warning Picture Overload!

I can't believe my little girl is 1...it is going by way way way to fast! I had a friend in the ward do Kinleys One Year photos along with a couple family photos as well, and they turned out great!!! (Thanks Kaylea) I feel so lucky to have such a fun cute little girl...she makes me smile everyday and is learning something new all the time! Recently she has learned to wave goodbye, give high fives, point to my nose, and loves to read books (especially the ones with puppies and teddy bears). I think my favorite thing in the world though is when she hears even a little bit of a song or beat and starts dancing! She can't stand to hear a song and not dance, I love it! She is definetely our entertainment and we can't get enough! We love you kinley bug!

We decided that this year we would host Thanksgiving at our house with some of our friends that were still in town for the festivities! We had more food than you could imagine, and great company! I won't lie I was a little nervous about making the turkey (It was my first time), but I think it turned out pretty good. and Eric did an amazing job carving it! This thanksgiving is definetely one that we will remember and made me extremely greatful for so many things in my life! I'm greatful for my wonderful family, The gospel, my trials, and more. But to add to the list I felt so incredibly blessed to have such a great group of friends that we could spend Thanksgiving with! Thanks for all those that could make it, we had a blast!

Kinley loved the pumpkin seeds, days after this we would find her chewing on a pumpkin seed not having a clue where she kept finding them!!!

Kinley was a kitty cat or leopard whichever you prefer for halloween..We went trick or treating with brooke and brent and the kids around the neighborhood and they had a blast!

We had such a blast while we were there in Missouri...I know this post is way late,but I have been so busy since I got home..not to mention I left the camera in missouri so mom had to mail it back to me (Thanks again mom). I was there for Whitneys (my best friend from high school) wedding. It was definetely different than a temple wedding, but it turned out really nice! We were able to stay in Missouri for 1o days and enjoy the company of our family.. Brents family was there until they could move into their house in Oklahoma and Brians family came down one weekend. We had a blast spending time with everyone and can't wait to see you guys again!

Roseola Virus

On wednessday when eric went to pick kinley up from our friends house. Heather (the friend who watches her) asked eric if she was feeling well because she took a 3 hour long nap and then another 1 1/2 hour long nap that afternoon and just seemed not herself! Eric took her home, where she just cuddled up to him on the coach (definetely not herself) she would normally be running all over the place...When I got home and took her temperature it was up to 102.4! So we gave her some medicine and about midnight the fever finally broke. The next day the fever stayed around 100.0 and she was acting a little better...Than last night I noticed this rash appearing on her back and stomach....I kinda thought it was chicken pox at first, because it was just small dot. But It looked much more like a rash in the morning! We asked a PA in our ward, who told us that it was definetely Roseola! So Wahoo for no chicken pox! :) She is still happy as can be, but it is a pretty ugly little rash!

This was the day I found the rash...as you can tell it definetely isn't affecting her...we were playing dress up with her new outfit i bought online ha!

Tonight was the PAVA (Wives Optometry Club) Family Halloween Party! I had bought this cute little leather jacket for kinley last year at a garage sale in hopes we could dress up as bikers this year for halloween! This weekend we went down to Silver Falls to go camping with some friends! It was beautiful weather and wonderful company. The girls got to the campsite early and put up a couple tents and got dinner ready, then the boys showed up after clinic. Kinley did pretty good up until about 3:30 in the morning and then it was just to cold for her in the pack n play. So we got her all snug in her car seat and put a blanket over it...and she didn't wake up until morning! The next morning we went on a little hike to see the falls. We only ended up seeing two, but we are hoping to come back again next year to see the rest!

Utah Trip 2011

The first day we arrived in utah we headed up to Beaver Mountain to stay at a family friends Cabin (Bucks Cabin). It was quite the place...full of tons of fun things to do, including relaxing on the hammock.

The second day we were able to head up to lake labarron to have fun fishing. We fished all day and the fish didn't disappoint...I was amazed at how many fish everyone caught! The ones we couldn't save, we roasted up that night!

These were some of the many deer that we got to see while staying at the cabin! I loved how many baby deer were around!

Some other fun events at the cabin were playing volleyball, basketball, swinging, and playing games!

We had such a fun time at the Cabin, and can't wait to go back! Thanks mom and dad for such a fun time there!

Once we got back into town a got to spend a couple of days with my cousin Robin while Eric was off shadowing Optometrists. We went to the splash pad one of the days with our friend Stari and had a blast...Kinley wasn't to happy (she didn't have a nap) and pretty much complained or cried the whole time we were there...but we had a great time chatting and catching up! After the splash pad Robin and I went to her house with a plan to put the kids down and make a cookie monster with ice cream and eat it in peace just like the old days...haha but that didn't happen...the kids were wide awake by the time we got them home! It was a nice idea though, I guess our lives will never be like they used to! :)

We also got to go see Grandma Drake while we were there! And Grandma Waite, even though I doubt she remebers we were there :) ha Kinley had a great time laughing at the girls with Grandma...Alyssa is kinleys greatest fan! She called every day at least 3-4 times a day to see if kinley was awake and ready to play! They had so much fun together!

Eric and I got away for a little bit to go on a hike!

The last day we were in utah the Drakes threw Grandma and Grandpa Beatty a 60th wedding anniversary party! We had so much fun playing games and spending time with family! We had an awesome hawaiian dinner, talent show, picture slide show, and more! We loved how much time we got to spend with everyone and wish we could do it more often! We miss you guys already!

Kinley 10 Months Old!

I can't believe that our little girl is already 10 months old. Time seems to be flying by way to quickly! Kinley has been so much fun lately...she loves to giggle and laugh, and her newest trick is to stand in the middle of the room and clap! She definetely keeps us on our toes. She has also discovered the stairs and loves to get up as many as possible before mom can get her down! She is still an awesome eater and sleeper, and all around just happy happy happy! We love this little pumpkin!

ROTATIONS!

***Warning, Long Post--no pictures--read if you dare or care :)***

Last week was the thrilling/Stressful time for us to find out where we are going for our Optometry Rotations. During Erics 4th year of school we have to move every 3 months to a new site/clinic. This whole process seems pretty simple until you have more than one person putting in for a site/clinic that you wanted. In those cases you have to go to "Lottery" which means whoevers name gets drawn out of the group goes...everyone else is then put into a loser drawing and you get to pick whatever sites are left over. Fun, I know!

Our first choice/rotation was to make sure that we stayed here in Forest Grove so that I could keep working, try and sell the house, etc. There were 7 people that put it in for this site/clinic and LUCKY for us Eric won that lottery so we will be staying put!

The next spot we were going for was the Salt Lake VA hospital for the 4th Rotation. Unfortunately we had to go to lottery once again, this time against one of our friends and we weren't so lucky! We lost that rotation, but eric was picked 1st to get the leftovers (Lucky once again) so we chose to go to Roseburg, OR. VA hospital. for our 4th rotation. We both feel that this will probably be a better fit for eric anyway!

Next we were going for Miami, OK. for our 3rd rotation....nobody put in for this rotation so we automatically got it. This one is nice because it is only 1 1/2 hours from my house in Springfield so I can live with my family, and spend the holidays (thanksgiving and christmas) with them as well!

Then the last rotation that we could go for (which is the rotation that we wanted the most) was the St. George 2nd rotation. We wanted this one so we could live with erics parents, network, etc. considering thats where we are trying to end up! Luckily/Suprisingly enough nobody else put in for this site so we were able to get that one without going to lottery as well! YIPEE!

So to break this down:
1st rotation- Forest Grove Oregon
2nd rotation- St. George Utah
3rd rotation- Miami Oklahoma
4th rotation- Roseburg Oregon

It sounds like we are going to be living out of our suitcases for a year. And even though that really doesn't sound that much fun, I'm pretty excited to get on to that portion of our lives! We were fortunate to get most of the sites we wanted and feel very blessed! I know that I said we got "Lucky" more than several times in this post, but I know that in reality the Lord had a hand in this and answered our prayers and put us in the places that would be best for our family! I'm so lucky to have a husband that works so incredibly hard to provide for our family. This year will be a difficult one for him, but we know he will do great! One more step to being done, and we can't wait!

Soooo Tired!

So our wonderful little sleeper has now decided that she will fight us to go to sleep! We will put her down at 7 and she sleeps for an hour and then is wide awake, then she will stay that way until 10...She has started fighting me with her naps too, and just wont go down like she used too
:( This picture is a prime example. I laid her down and she sat up and started playing with her toys...when i went back in about 15 minutes later this is what I found, I guess that sleep got the best of her. I thought it was to funny and had to take a picture! I've started putting her to bed a little later than I used to and that has helped...But i'm still working on her naps! Where did my good sleeper go????????

Multnomah Falls

We were able to spend a little bit of time with erics parents while they were in town on business and we had such a good time. We decided after church on sunday that we would go and enjoy multnomah falls. Unfortunately you never know when it is going to rain here in Oregon and so it was raining the whole time we were there! It was still beautiful and it was just nice being able to have family with us! It was fun seeing you guys while you were here!

This weekend my mother in law and I decided to go to the Peach Pig Farm and pick the amazing fresh berries that oregon has to offer! The cherries just covered the trees and the rasberries melted in our mouths. They were amazing! We had such a fun fourth of july with our friends! We started the day by having a picnic with friends at Hagg Lake, and eric got to go play frisbee golf with the boys. It was such a gorgeous day outside and Kinley was in such a good mood all day! Later that night we went to a little town called Banks to watch fireworks. The fireworks started at 10 and kinley was still awake (amazingly enough....I thought for sure she would crash)...I was a little nervous about how she would react to the fireworks, but once they got started she was loving every second of it....She just stared up at the sky and then would coo every once in awhile...it was pretty darn cute! I can't get enough of her!

This weekend we decided to head on up to Portland to take a tour on the Navy ships that were in the port. They come every year for the Rose Festival! The past month Kinley has been cutting a tooth and it hasn't been much fun! She is constantly slobbering and chewing on anything she can get her hands on. She hasn't been as cranky as I thought she would be though. She is still our happy go lucky little girl! Did I mention she loves apples :)

Our little girl is growing way way way to fast! I can't believe she is already 7 months old. This beautiful girl has been such a huge blessing in our lives. She is alway smiling and laughing and has just recently started chanting "dadadada" even though I'm pretty sure she doesn't know what she's saying, (But her daddy sure loves it). She's rolling around all over the place and I fear she might start crawling sooner than later! We can't imagine life without her and are so lucky to have such an amazing girl! We love you Kinley!

Couponing Frenzy!!

Ok so I know some of you have seen extreme couponers on TLC and some maybe not. But I watched it the other day and got set on the idea that I NEED to start couponing! I thought hey if its going to be saving us money, why not? So the Couponing began about 1 month ago and I got hooked! I love the thrill of getting things free or dirt cheap, It's awesome! So I thought I would show you my winnings this week! For 14 bucks I was able to get 4 jumbo packs of diapers, 5 Rimmel eye liners, 4 tubes for crest toothpaste, 2 bags of M&Ms, 2 Ziploc Freezer bags, 4 packs of pantiliners, 1 Biore Deep cleansing strips, 1 Biore Cleanser, and a laffy taffy(95 dollar value) :) WAHOO! Not to mention last week my purchase was completely free with Breathe Right strips, precsice heat patch, and pantiliners(10 dollar value).

Honestly it was overwhelming the first week and then once I got in that mind set it became fairly easy. You just have to start collecting lots of coupon inserts! LOVE IT!

Eric recently had his White Coat Ceremony. He has worked so hard in class the past couple of years and we are so proud of him! The ceremony was a glimpse of the end and it makes us so excited. We are at the halfway point and Eric finally gets to go to clinic and see patients. He is now known as "Intern Drake". Congrats to an amazing husband on his hard work and accomplishments!!!

Over Easter weekend we were able to head down to St. George for Erics Grandpa Drakes Funeral. The service was really good and it was so nice to see family! Kinley loved getting to see everyone and loved being able to enjoy the sunny weather that we had! Easter was a lot of fun and we wish we could have stayed longer! Only a couple more months and we can go back!

This little girl loves her rice cereal! We tried sweet potatoes the other day and she was gagging the whole time...So we tried them again the next day and she threw it up...Sad! So needless to say we won't be eating sweet potatoes anytime soon...and yes we did get her gagging on video,so I will post it soon.

I had my friends on the lookout today at the garage sales and they found me this little treasure! :) I have been looking for one for awhile now, but the cheapeast people sell them for on craigslist was 35-40 bucks...I snagged this for 25 this morning! I love Oregon garage sales! So far she seems to like it.....Now I need to find a cheap exersaucer!

Space Needle

We loved being able to ride the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. The island wasn't as cool as we hoped but we loved the ride over. This was Kinley and I's first ride on a ferry and we had a whole lot of fun!

The first thing we did when we got to seattle was went up into the Space Needle....The weather was nice and sunny, so it was a perfect time to go. We couldn't have gotten luckier with the weather this weekend! We had such a fun time, and it was a nice getaway for our little family!

We weren't paying attention to her, and when we looked over she was asleep with her friend smoochy!

So I saw this pacifier toy from a lady in our ward who bought it online...and I thought to myself, "well that looks easy enough to make". So I went to the store and bought the supplies and whipped it together last night. It was really easy to make, and I made it so the pacifier was interchangeable rather than sewed directly on! Kinley instantly fell in love with it...It makes it nice so she can hold on to it (instead of me having to keep my hand there to keep it in her mouth)...This is probably the best thing I have made for her, and I absolutely love it!

One of Kinleys favorite things to do now is to hangout in her Boppy...She will just chill out and watch mom and dad eat dinner or whatever else we are doing at the table! This particular time dad was doing homework and he looked up at her and start laughing, she just couldn't stay awake...dad must be boring!

I can't believe our little girl is 4 months old...Some of her new things are:

1. Sitting in the Boppy like a big girl

2. Giggling and smiling all the time

3. Rolled over from her back to her tummy

4. Still sleeping through the night like a champ

5. Loves to Eat

6. Loves her bouncy chair

We just got the happiest best baby alive, we feel so lucky to have her in our lives!

I made my first fondant cake the other day at a relief society activity...its pretty simple, but I was excited!!! It was hard, but not as hard as I had anticipated...so maybe there will be more cakes like this in the future :)

Eric and I and Kinley were able to play Mary, Joseph and Jesus in the nativity program that they put on at the Staheli Farm. Kinley was a perfect baby just sleeping the whole time as Eric controlled the Donkey during the progam.

We had such a good time this Christmas!! We were able to stay with Erics Parents and all of the Drake family was here this year!!! As you can tell from the pictures we had lots of fun things going on and enjoyed being able to spend it with family!

My boss's wife took kinleys baby photos as a baby shower gift the other day and they turned out great! Kinley was pretty uncooperative during the whole thing...she peed like 4 times, pooped a couple times, and was crying the majority of the time...But we ended up getting a few really cute shots! This little girl is growing like crazy....we took her to the doctor the other day because she had a little stuffy nose and she weighed 8lbs 110z..and was 21 1/4 inches long! I can't believe she has almost doubled her weight....she is starting to be more awake and alert, still isn't smiling when she is awake yet...but she is getting close! We are just having so much fun with her!

Baby kinley is 1 month old now! Its hard to believe it, time is flying by.....She has been such a good baby..The only time she cries is when she is getting her diaper changed, her clothes changed, or when she's really hungry! She loves riding in the car, having her back rubbed at bath time and her feet, and she loves to be cuddled! She is such a cuddle bug and we love it...she eats every 2-3 hours and she loves to grunt ha! She has been so fun to have around and we love being parents! We can't wait to have her smiling and interacting more with mom and dad! The video clip is of her sleeping, thats the only time we can get a big smile out of her!

We love having this little girl around...These are just a few snap shots that we had of her from this past week...It's hard to believe she is almost 1 month old....We have had so much fun spending time with her, she is pretty spoiled...but completely worth it! And as you can see she is starting to get cute little chubby cheeks...compared to what they were anyway :) Our last Dr. visit we had last week she weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. which means she gained 19 ounces in a week...the doctor was very impressed and asked if I was feeding her formula ha...And to think I was concerned she wasn't eating long enough...

Its Baby Time!

Heading to the hospital to have the baby.... I was definetely nervous at this point and wasn't really sure what to think. I showed up 2 hours prior to the appointment and they got me all set up and ready for the delivery...the spinal block was pretty interesting (I was most worried about that, ha) it stung a little and totally shocked my right leg that scared me a little, but overall it wasn't bad...then within minutes I was numb, hated that feeling by the way...and then baby kinley was here within 10 minutes after that!!

Kinleys first reaction to the world :) ha she definetely has a set of lungs on her... she weighs 5 lbs 9 oz. and is 18 inches long!

It took them about an hour from when she was delivered for me to be able to see her again...I was pretty swollen from all the stuff they had to pump into me...my blood pressure went down to 82 over 29 so they had to give me quite a bit of stuff to regulate it!

Kinley all swaddled up...We have to swaddle her really tight or she gets her little hands out and wakes herself up..she loves having her hands out, and loves being cuddled up as close to someone as she can get!

Grandma and Baby Kinley... Mom has been such a big help with me here at the house...we love having grandma in town! It's not easy getting around and doing things after a c-section..

Grandpa and baby kinley... Grandpa was able to come in on a business trip and see his new grandbaby..she sure loves her grandpa!

Here is a good picture of her face....she was opening and closing her eyes and mouth for us :) I can't wait to meet this little girl!!

Well I am now 33 weeks along, so a little past 8 months...It has been going ok until I got a cold this week and i have been miserable...it started with a sore throat then I had a runny nose and started sneezing...and then today I have had a really bad cough on top of all of it!! I almost fainted at work this morning too and had to leave early...The ultrasound today went pretty good, I absolutely loved my ultrasound tech as you can tell by the pictures, she was so fun! We got to see a lot of fun shots of our baby, and I know the quality isn't that great in these pictures but I tried my best with the camera!! Our baby is in the 40th percentile for weight and height...she weighs about 4 lbs 6 oz...and she looks great! The only bad news was that the blood vessell and placenta haven't moved from the last ultrasound...so as of right now I am going to be doing a c-section...I have to go back for another ultrasound in 1 month and that will determine for sure what the verdict will be!! So there is still hope for natural birth :) Either way I can't wait to start our little family and not be pregnant anymore!!!

This weekend Chase and Alex called and invited us to go camping up at Timothy Lake (Which is at the base of MT. Hood) with some of their friends from their ward...We got there Saturday afternoon and decided to go fishing first..It was pretty darn cold and windy along the bank and Alex caught the only fish...We were told that nobody was getting anything, and with the conditions the way they were I wasn't surprised, but alex apparently can catch a fish anywhere ha... After fishing we went back and had lunch and just hung out at the fire...For dinner we had tin foil dinners and then we helped Chase put together a very very good peach cobbler..Thank you Chase for satisfying the pregnant woman with her cobbler craving :).....The rest of the time we just hungout and talked by the fire...Night time wasn't to bad. I was praying I wouldn't have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, but that was pretty much inevitable...The next morning we had Donuts and hot chocolate and then me and eric packed up and headed home....We had such a fun time!!! Thanks for the invite guys~!
